Work commences on new Student Accommodation, in Nottingham

Unite Students construction works are underway to transform the former Argos, on Lower Parliament Street, Nottingham, into a 271-bed accommodation and will have the lowest embodied carbon, making it the greenest ever new build property.

BOX Property acquired the site in 2022 in a deal worth more than £6,000,000. Bromley Place will be repaired and repurposed to embrace the existing late-Victorian, three-storey building, preserving the historic features from the original site, in time for the start of the 2024/25 academic year.

Ben Tebbutt, Director of BOX Property Consultants, comments “We are delighted to have acquired this site for Unite and continue to search for other similar sites in Nottingham and other major university cities.”

Frankie Labbate, Co-Founder of BOX Property Consultants, added “As part of the development, BOX property will be seeking a tenant for the ground floor retail unit of circa 1,500sq ft. The unit would be particularly suited for coffee shops/restaurant use.”
